Bamboo-leaf-wrapped sticky rice( zongzi)

Bamboo-leaf-wrapped sticky rice is called as 粽子(zongzi). How do we make it? In brief, I introduce the recipe as follows:

First, clean glutinous rice(actually, you can choice black or white glutinous rice) and soak it for three to four hours in water,and then drain the rice.

Second, steam shelled peanuts by a rice cooker.

Third, stir-fry chopped pork belly, add a little sugar candy, soy sauce, and water, and then braise.

Fourth, stir-fry respectively the ingredients with previous pork juice, such as glutinous rice, diced bamboos, mushrooms, small dried shrimps, and peanuts.

Next, wrap the proper amount of the all ingredients in two bamboo leaves into the pyramid, and then tie together with string. We call each finished product zongzi.

Final, steam each string of zongzis over hot water for about 1 hour, and just wait for zongzis to become undercooked.

This food tastes delicious. It is my favorite food. You would try.
